Boyhood stands for design objects that translate childhood memories into a clear, contemporary form. Behind the Danish label is designer Jakob Burgsø, who since 2016 has been creating figures and objects that combine playful familiarity with Scandinavian restraint. Drawing on iconic motifs from pop culture and everyday life, Boyhood transforms recognizable characters into distinctive wooden objects with striking silhouettes and a high level of craftsmanship.

At the heart of the work lies more than nostalgia alone; it is about giving memory a new design language. Materials such as oak and leather lend the pieces warmth, presence, and lasting character. BOYHOOD is a Danish design label founded in 2016 by Jakob Burgsø. Rooted in Burgsø’s passion for design, craftsmanship, and iconic characters, the label creates objects that connect personal memory with collective pop culture. Childhood heroes and familiar symbols are reimagined in solid oak and translated into a reduced, sculptural visual language. This distinctive approach is especially evident in the artware pieces Snoopy, Woodstock, Playmobil, and Balloon D’og.
