Kate Moss, top model and businesswoman
The beautiful Brit was born on 16 January 1974 in Croyden near London. She began her career as a fashion model at the age of 14 when she was discovered by a talent scout at JFK airport. Major commissions for Calvin Klein, H&M, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent and Versace followed. The black and white imagesof the Calvin Klein campaigns are world-famous. At the age of 20, she is already earning millions. Her look is unusual for her time: angular facial features, a very slim, androgynous physique and, at around 1.70 metres tall, Kate Moss is actually too small to be a top model. But it is precisely these unusual features that make her so recognisable.
In 2002, her daughter Lila Grace was born. In 2005, the big scandal broke: Kate Moss was photographed with cocaine. After successful withdrawal, however, she manages to steer her modelling career back on the right track. Further lucrative assignments followed, and by 2008 she was one of the best-paid models in the world. Former lovers and partners of the former party girl are no less famous and notorious. Kate Moss has been involved with Johnny Depp and Pete Doherty, among others. Kate Moss has made several appearances in music videos, is involved in many charity projects and runs a successful design collaboration with Topshop.
