Introduction
A crumpled sheet of aluminium foil became the starting point for a design icon: originally created by Verner Panton for Georg Jensen, the PANTON Tray translates the fleeting folds of a delicate material into a permanent sculptural form. In mirror-polished stainless steel, the small edition lets light and its surroundings travel across its irregular surface – turning a functional object into a study of form, reflection and perception.
Bio
Founded in Copenhagen by silversmith Georg Jensen in 1904, the house has come to represent Scandinavian craftsmanship, functional clarity and sculptural form. Its distinctive identity lies in the combination of precise metalwork and a design approach that elevates everyday objects beyond pure function. Across generations, Georg Jensen has continued to refine this philosophy, creating a recognisable design language shaped by craftsmanship, timeless elegance and modern form.
