LUMAS supports Parley for the Oceans
Ocean covers 71% of the Earth’s surface. But what most people don’t know is that every square kilometer contains tens of thousands of pieces of plastic trash. This trash has become a global problem. Together with Parley for the Oceans, LUMAS would like to help raise awareness for the endangered ocean ecosystem.
Beneath the ocean's surface lurk some of nature’s true masterpieces. It only makes sense that LUMAS, a gallery for art photography would get involved in preserving this enchanting underwater world by releasing the PARLEY x LUMAS Special Editions. The proceeds went directly to the Parley Global Cleanup Network. Truly the most beautiful way to help rid the oceans of plastic!

Captain Paul Watson about Parley
After meeting the environmental activist Captain Paul Watson, Cyrill Gutsch founded Parley for the Oceans in 2012. Parley for the Oceans is a network where creators, thinkers, and leaders come together to raise awareness for the beauty and fragility of our oceans and prevent their destruction. Through research and development, educational initiatives and events, and ecological innovations, this network combats threats to the oceans posed by plastic pollution, overfishing, and climate change. Supporters include artists such as Julian Schnabel and David LaChapelle as well as musicians such as Pharrell Williams.
